I’ve been away for a while but I’m going to try to stay on track

I was with out a computer for about four to five months. My husband and I bought the Wii and have the exercise game on it and we’re going to try to start a regiment because our health is not as good as it used to be and due to the weight our backs and knees are acting up (we both have bad backs and knees to begin with. So I tried to keep on track with my eating but couldn’t break the 185lbs mark even with exercising. My doctor says she’s going to check my thyroid and also check me for diabetes. I did miss all your encouragement while I was going on frequently and I thank you all.

Working hard,no time to log

Hi Everyone

I have been trying to play catch up these passed two weeks and I’ve paid for it. My son is going to night school two days a week and my husband is in school all week as well and stays with relatives, so that leaves me to do a 2 1/2 hour commute and having to pick up my son and get home around 9pm to start cooking dinner. I also had a co worker out on vacation so I and another coworker had to share her schedule so I had to stay until 5:30 at my job for 2 more days which meant getting home two more days at 9pm. When I get home I’m tired and have to cook, I have little appetite but have to cook cause my son has to eat and if I don’t eat I tend to stay on starvation mode and it shows up in the scale. After, the first week of not being able to log in I gained 3lbs. I was so up set and wanted to quit because it seems that I always have to put my needs last and be there for eveyone else. I didn’t log in for about three days and then decided that this has been working so far so I should keep it up. I went back and logged in the days I had not logged in and noticed that I had eaten over the 1500 calories twice, one of them reaching 2200 calories Yikes!!! This week I tried to log in at my job so that the only thing I had to log in was dinner at home. So I kicked my son off the computer and have been logging in and happy to say that I’ve managed to lose at least 2 of the 3lbs that I gained.Yeppie!!!  So I am going to try to stay on task. I just wished I had more energy to do all the things I have to do in a day. I’m hoping that I can keep losing weigt so that by christmas I can look good enough to take pictures, I just hate seeing me in “fat mode” it depresses me and feel defeated. But I plan to keep doing this calorie counting and hope that I can break that darn ten pound mark.

Eating when I’m cold/calorie counting

Hi Every body

Well I’ve tried to keep everything under control, but the other day I was at work and I was cold.   Of course I had  hot chocolate to drink and if I have something to drink I tend to snack. By the time I got home and calculated what I had eaten I had gone way over 2000 calories. I panic and ate very little the next day but I was starving. I have to try not snack when I drink something. or snack smart I guess.

I wish I could figure out what is the proper calories to keep a steady weight loss. I think it should be  1500 but I was talking to a co-worker who told me it was 1200. I am trying the 1500 calorie count cause my doctor suggested it, but I keep fluctuating in my weight and can’t pass 10 lbs. weight loss. I think if I can get the calorie count just right I can  be able to loose the weight.

Back logging FYI

hey guys

I was upset that I couldn’t back log for a previous day if unable to log but you can do it. You can go to the food journal and then if you look  where the date is there are two arrows on each side of it if you hit the arrows on the left you can go back to whatever date you want and still log in for that date. Just remember to foward it back to the present date to log in for the day cause it will stay on the last date you logged.

2 lbs gone

Just wanted to share thanks Dawn and Sandy you really inspired me and I hope I can keep it up. Yeppieeeeeeeeeeee

Up again

Hi everyone

I’m a little disappointed after I lost a pound about 2 days later I get on the scale and I gained the pound back. I was trying to be so careful and I did try to keep within my calorie count. After that, I was away from home and not near any computer to log on and see how I did . I went out to dinner @ Applebees and tried to be conscientous of what I ate so I picked from the weight watchers menu the grilled herb and garlic chicken with herb and garlic red potatoes and broccoli. I also had 1 apple martini and a orange juice w/ armaretto and water. I thought I could come back and log in for the days I was away but notice that it didn’t give me an option for a date(at least I didn’t see it).

I sometime think that I am so pessimistic when it come to my weight lose but yet I can cheer someone else. I don’t want to sound like a whiney person but it’s just that this is sooooooooo important to me and for 6 years now I just can lose no matter what I do, I’ve done the green tea, hoodia, eating less, just eating salads from subway thinking to myself well jared lost weight that way and even the doctors I work with ask me “how can it be that you eat so little but keep gaining weight. I’ve had my thyrids checked, checked for diabetes and nothing. I do have a sedentart job and I seem to be tired all the time. I have a 2 1/2 hour commute and when I get home its cook, clean and bedtime cause I need to get up at 4 in the morning to start my day all over again. Well, Thanks for listening to my whining hope I haven’t bored you guys to death with the long blog. Hope all of you have a good week !!

Carbs

Hi Everyone

Hope everyone had a good day but here’s my dilema for the day, Maybe someone can give me some ideas:

I seem to notice that when I do my food journal. The Majority of my food intake is carbs. I have many food allergies ex. eggs, milk, pineapple, milk chocolate, beef . I also get bloated from broccoli which I love and other greens. How can I get a balance on protein and carbs and reach my amout of calorie count which I have only reached once since I began. 1500 calories is very hard for me to reach cause I seem to get full with small amounts of food. Well, hope tomorrow is a better day and may all of you get closer to your goals. Good Night

Calorie Counting

Hi everybody, I’m new to the site and was wondering does anyone know how do I figure out what is the right amount of calories intake to lose weight. I’m not sure if in my page some where it tells me. I know someone told me at least 1500 but I see that many of you guys have lost weight already and I could use some pointers.

Thanks to anyone that can help.
